Bangalore: Nov 14, DH News Service:

Bharti Airtel Limited, on Friday, launched Airtel Turbo — a new roaming plan — wherein, all the calls (incoming, out-going and STD) made while roaming will cost only 60 paise per minute for Airtel-to-Airtel (A-to-A) calls and 80 paise for Airtel-to-other operators (A-to-O).

A prepaid customer is required to pay Rs 98 under the minute plan and Rs 99 under the second plan to avail the Turbo facility for one year, within his/her existing plan. The post-paid customers can avail the same through two new rental plans — Rs 249 and Rs 299 per month — per minute and per second plans, respectively.

For post-paid customers on the minute pulse, local calls and STD from their home circle will cost 50 paise per minute (A-to-A) and 60 paise per minute (A-to-O); and those on the second pulse will pay 1 paise and 1.20 paise per second respectively.
Briefing reporters, Bharti Airtel Mobile Services (Karnataka Circle) Chief Executive Officer Venkatesh V pointed out that the firm has launched this facility in a bid to increase customer usage, and observed that it can afford such a plan mainly because of its presence in all the 23 circles the country.
