'Mandatory membership of KFCC is unscientific'

The exhibitors who are to enter into a pact with the directors over the sharing of percentage , have termed the government’s order seeking mandatory membership of  Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce as unscientific. 

Thus, this order needs to be rolled back at once, they urged.

Membership of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce is uncalled for, as the body had never worked for the welfare of the exhibitors. Considering this a separate Association of the Exhibitors was established in 2003, said its president  R R Odugowdar.

Demanding mandatory membership at organisations coming under the purview of the government is reasonable, but seeking the same for a separate body is ridiculous, he observed.
