Vayu Vajra pass charges reduced

Minister for Transport R Ashok, on Saturday announced that the monthly pass charges for the Vayu Vajra Volvo international airport service will be brought down by Rs 250 from December.



Speaking after launching the re-designed website of the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) here, the minister said, with effect from December 1, the cost of the Volvo Gold Pass that costs Rs 1500 will be available for Rs 1250. “This has been done to make the Volvo airport service more affordable” said Ashok.

The minister also clarified that the services of the BMTC would not be affected from the Kempegowda Bus Station at Majestic from December. “Only services from the KSRTC depots will be shifted.

KSRTC buses will gradually make a shift from KBS to the new satellite bus stations that are being constructed at Peenya, NGEF-Old Madras Road and other places, when they are ready for operations” he added.  The website: www.bmtcinfo.com has information on all available services, route information and stops and time-schedules of buses.
