Karnataka progressed to the semifinals of the under-25 Col CK Nayudu Trophy after gaining the all important first innings lead against Himachal Pradesh on the fourth and final day of their match at Amtan, HP.

In their second innings, Mayank Agarwal (118, 159b, 12x4) stroked a century to further strengthen Karnataka’s stranglehold in the match. 

The visitors had reached 239/4 in 57 overs when the umpires decided to call off the game. Liyan Khan (52) and J Suchith (50 n.o.) alse made decent contributions.

In the semifinals which start on January 14, Karnataka will take on Gujarat at Ahmedabad while Kerala will face Maharashtra in the other semifinal at Thalassery.
