Pranab, BJP MPs spar over Advani's 26/11 demand
New Delhi, Nov 26 (IANS):

The government's reluctance to respond to Leader of Opposition L K Advani's demand for coordinated action by various agencies to provide relief to people affected by 26/11 led to a heated exchange between Leader of the House Pranab Mukherjee and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs in Lok Sabha on Thursday.

L K AdvaniRaising the issue during zero hour, Advani asked the Home Ministry to coordinate the relief and rehabilitation efforts to provide relief to the people affected by the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai.

Advani said the Maharashtra government, central government and the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) have assured proper relief and rehabilitation to people hit by the Mumbai terror strike last year.

"But the relief was given in slow pace," he said, referring to the number of compensation cheques and other relief given to the victims' families.

The Home Minister should take initiative to coordinate the agencies involved in the relief and rehabilitation works, Advani said.

Soon after Advani's speech, Speaker Meira Kumar invited Congress MP Madhu Goud Yaskhi to raise another matter.

But BJP leader Ananth Kumar asked the government to respond to Advani's demand, pointing to Pranab Mukherjee's presence in the house.

An agitated Pranab said he had rushed to the house to listen to the leader of the opposition but not to hear from him (Ananth Kumar).

"I have come only to listen to him (Advani). Not to hear from you (Ananth Kumar)," Pranab said, adding every zero hour reference could not be answered. "Don't make it a practice," he said.

This remark led to heated exchange of words between Mukherjee and BJP MPs, led by Ananth Kumar.

"You are making politics on 26/11," Mukherjee shouted.

Finally, Meira Kumar pacified the MPs, saying "today is a very solemn day. We (the House) paid our condolences and passed a resolution (on 26/11)".

The speaker also said she could not ask the minister to respond to a zero hour reference.

What Pranab Mukarjee said to Ananth Kumar is silly. What does he imply by that? If this is the attitude of Pranabda to a younger member, sorry, you are elected by people, you are requires to answer the queries by any member. This issue concerning releif to 26/11 victims. We have proved to the world that we do not bother about the loss of lives of common man as it is pertinent to say that only common man suffers in such a situation, as the political bosses will be moving in Z security!! Shame.

Let us agree on your point that Advani did not ask for other victims. But how does that justify non-performance with reference 26/11 victims? You seem to believe the Liberhan report as gospel truth? How do you stand in judgement as if you are all knower?

First of all Congress Leaders are all OLD and donot have Mental Stability, secondly, they donot have guts to take any action on Afzal Guru and Kasab who are proved Terrorists, what we can expect from this Old, Corrupt, Criminal, Match Fixers, Goons Congress / UPA? Till retirement age is not implemented, even after 90 years, Congress / UPA will be looting public Money, we will be commenting and writing this article. Friends, time has come to protest, Please wake up atleast now, do protests / Agitation and throw UPA Govt out of Power. We need retirement age in Politics, Politicians are not God to continue in Power till their life time...! If we need India development, these Old buddas should be thrown out, Let us all work towards that......

The politicians have already foreseen this that people may question their continuation even after advanced age and therefore come out with the solution to put their progeny in place and hold the sway incognito.

Some people like you always look at the world wearing saffaron spectacle. Remove them for once and look at the people who have put on their experience for the betterment of the people of India. Unlike those who enchash on their political motives..

Safron is there in our Flag also recognizing its significance. Do not belittle the color and its purport.
