Software demo to be held at Tulu convention

Briefing media persons here on Monday, software Director Praveenraj S Rao said that the Tulu script for the new software has been designed based on the ancient Tulu script. Tulu language experts including Dr Radhakrishna Belluru, Dr Punduru Venkataraja Puninchithaya, Dr Vignaraj Dharmastala and Dr Padmanabha Kekunnaya were consulted before designing the script, he added.

Explaining about the Thawlava script, Rao said that the very ancient Tulu script has been modified to suit the software without damaging its original shape. Nudi software keyboard layout can be used to type the Thawlava lipi, which has 50 letters. The final version of the new script software will be made available to users freely after making necessary correction based on suggestions at the World Tulu Convention,” Rao said.  Advisor Ramachandra Uchil, software experts Sathyashankar and Harikrishna were present.
