Individuals, associations and organisations who have made significant contributions in the field of development of women and also from women, who have excelled in various fields - like art, literature, education, sports, politics, etc, are eligible to submit their proposals for the award.
Remarkable achievement
The Kittur Rani Chennamma award for this year will be presented to six associations and organisations and eight eligible individuals and also from women have made remarkable achievements in various fields.
The ‘Veera Mahile’ award will be presented to women who have shown examples of grit and courage. This was stated in a press release issued by the Department of Women and Child Welfare, here on Tuesday.
Those people and organisations who have made significant and relentless contributions in the field of women’s development for the last five years in Chikballapur district, are eligible to apply, the press release stated.
