Water literacy on wheels

To create awareness on rain water harvesting in and around the City and villages, the Water Literacy Foundation (WLF) on Monday launched Water Literacy on Wheels, a  collaborative effort in association with the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj and NABARD.

A N Yellappa Reddy, former principal secretary for ecology, who inaugurated the event said conservation of lakes in Bangalore city would rejuvenate the water cycle.

Bangalore Zilla Panchayat CEO Suryanarayan Rao listed conservation programmes undertaken by the ZP including the digging of 3,800 borewells in and around the City.
