Techie killed, wife hurt in hit-and-run accident

Bangalore, Jun 15, 2014, DHNS :

 A software engineer was killed while his wife sustained serious injuries, in a hit-and-run case in Jalahalli traffic police limits on Sunday night.

The victim was identified as Harsha Suryanarayan, 32, a resident of Atriya apartment near HMT factory. Harsha’s wife Neha Gadela, 29, is being treated at a hospital and is said to be out of danger.

According to the police, the accident took place near HMT factory when Harsha and Neha were walking towards their flat after buying fruits at Jalahalli village.

The driver of the speeding Tata Indica lost control as the vehicle hit the couple.

Driver flees

The car driver fled from the spot along with the car after the accident. 

Harsha was tossed up in air, fell down and sustained severe multiple injuries. Neha was thrown towards the pavement and was injured, said the police. They were immediately taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared Harsha dead on arrival.

The body was shifted to M S Ramaiah Hospital, said the police.
