Diganth caught for drunken driving
Bangalore, Dec 16, dhns:
Kannda actor Diganth was caught by the police while driving in a tipsy state near Goplan Mall on Mysore Road on Wednesday night. However, he was released after he and his female friend established that he was the famous Kannada actor.
Police said that Diganth was returning to the city from a party. On seeing the police he tried to speed away.
However, the police managed to catch him. His friend, who was coming in another vehicle, successfully persuaded the police to leave the actor without booking a case. A police official at the spot remarked to Deccan Herald "Why take a risk with big people. Thus, we left him without booking a case."
I had started this discussion and I thought I will add by saying that there is no use writing, shouting etc as this has been the history of India and will continue being that way. Law is meant for people who dont have power and money.
Diganth is a Famous Actor. He and all like him are above the LAW. Grow up People!!!
PC is just following protocol.
If u really want action taken against Digant..then boycott his films, issue a fatwa to boycott his movies and endorsements..Thats the only way in this present society..Hit him where it hurts most..
Mr Bidari, please note next time when I am stopped by a Policemen, I will try to convince that I am your son, I hope this will allow me to escape the law of land for what ever crime I might commit
shame on this cop who ever it is if our state home minister or conserned police official is aware of this statement they should get him suspended rigth away , just because this guy is a actor he is let off what if it was a normal citizen he would have been booked or penalised or he should have bribed the cop to get away .
i think its high time we change our system of vasta and money power to get away from any sort of crimes i am sure this change is coming soon and it will happen .
The police officer should immediately be suspended for dereliction of duty and action initiated against him for his negligence.
Actor Diganth should be ashamed of himself for voilating the law. No one is greater than the law.Only poor & middle class citizens are harassed by police for even trivial traffic offence where has the so called big & influential are let free even for a serious crime. The police commissioner has become a mute spectator for such things & it shows how incapable he is.
I think it is a shame for police let the drunken driver off , becaus he is a famous actor. Police should have taken more stingent action against him, because he is watched by many people. What a shame and just an indication of pathetic state of law enforcers in our country.
How did this small actors whoever by saying was left by Police. We understand that the rule applies to same whether he a Big Lord Burecrat or a simple human beng. The pratice the police officials catches a quiet humble person who does not have influence and try harassing him leftright and centre with big voice whne there is influence their become pussy cats. I would apprciate if this actor do not even acting should be booked couple of cases and put bhind bars for couple of days. He would have learnt a lesson. Our country Laqw and Order is very weak when compare to other countries just beccause of daily involvement of Politicans. This is a open secret and nothing else.
why are we blaming that poor Cop (PC level). if he book a case then he will have to answer his own people.. why he did it, poor fellow might loose his job also if he try to defend himself. if this has to change. ACP of that area or higher officer must be suspended from duty because he was not capable to motivate his subordinate to do the right thing.(If i Know my Boss will stand by me if I do the right thing, then for sure I will do the right thing. but if my boss is a Stuff up guggu.. then, i will cover My Ass first.) Please understand that fist. MORONS are being educated and sitting in the top positons... THAT IS THE PROBLEM!
Manoj,
All of us encounter the lower rungs of the cadre and hence the grouse. Also, agree with the point that the entire top rung ACPs, Circle Inspectors and the Inspector who heads that station need to be suspended along with the PC. We definitely know the truth that nothing of that sort will happen.
No body should be above the law. it is sad to know that the Rich and the Influential get away with many things that they need to be punished. when will our country wake up and say no one is above law and every one has to pay the fine and face the consequences for braking the law. shame on the police officials who let him go instead of arresting and booking a case.
will some one so something about this?
It appears that in our country, anything is acceptable. Power dominates the law. This system is prevailing right from the day we got Independence and considering the history of such incidences, can the people of India ever be optimistic about the law of our country ? We as readers, can only comment...The day we change this pattern of correcting the system ourselves, thats when we see optimism !
Hello Bidari sahebrey , what action will u take if such events are everyday happening and reported. what happen to mumbai actor he ran his vehicle over the poor humans on footpath. The Big Rich enjoying & safe, but it brings badname to ur honest work pls need action.
To live in a society like ours, we have to be either big or know somebody big. laughable state. if he truly is big, he should own up and give an apology and pay the fine.
woww... no action to be taken against the police officer? "why take risks"? idiots.... these are our police officers.... and these are our actors/big people in our society who break laws and expect to get away because they are big people...
Is the police official not ashamed to say that he does not want to take risk by booking and fining the actor?
They should act tough whoever it is. what if he had hit and killed somebody?
This shows that police and the law catch and threaten only innocents and people who dont have influence or have power.
