Last Updated 26 August 2014, 20:55 IST

Four boys, reported missing from Halehalli near TC Palya under the K R Puram police limits on Sunday, were found at the Salem railway station in Tamil Nadu on Monday night.

The four had run away from their homes fearing their parents would punish them after they were found collecting donations to erect a Ganesha pandal in their area. The boys, who were found by the railway police at the Salem station, told the cops that they were from Bangalore and also gave details of their parents. The railway police in turn contacted the Bangalore police and informed them about the boys.

On Sunday night, when the boys didn’t return home, their parents lodged a missing complaint at the KR Puram police station. A parent of one of the boys noticed them collecting donation and warned them that they would be strictly dealt with when they return home. Frightened the boys decided to run away

The City police, on receiving information about the boys, rushed to Salem along with the parents  of the boys and brought them to Bangalore.
