“Sub-committees concerned must plan the programmes according to the funds allocated. If possible departments should try to use the funds sanctioned to them or try getting sponsors for various activities during Dasara,” she said.

She said that out of the Rs 12 crore, Rs one crore each had been allotted for Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts for conducting various activities. Of the funds allotted to Mysore district, Rs one crore had been allotted to Sports sub-committee; Rs 13 lakh for film sub-committee; Rs 35 lakh for wrestling sub-committee; Rs six lakh for Mahila Dasara sub-committee; Rs seven lakh for Makkala Dasara sub-committee; Rs three lakh for welcoming sub-committee; Rs seven lakh for Yoga Dasara sub-committee; and Rs six lakh for Fine Arts sub-committee.
