'Aurko’, a well-known Bangalore-based band, has gained popularity over the years by singing Indian folk and retro covers. The band consists of Supratik on vocals, Avik on bass guitar and Jeet on lead guitar and has more than 100 original compositions.

“Each song we compose is very close to our heart. We want our shows to be
original and unforgettable,” says Jeet.  ‘Aurko’ will soon launch India’s first integrated AV studio apartment in Bangalore.

“It’s a state-of-the-art studio that has everything a musician needs. This includes equipment related to post production and promotion work, preview theatre and a roof top amphitheatre,” says Rahul, the manager of the band.

The band also started a social movement called ‘Alive India Movement’ to bring about a change in society. “We would like to bring everyone’s attention to the various unpleasant incidents that are taking place. We have composed a song called ‘Come On Change’ in collaboration with various other musicians. KK is one of the singers who lent his voice to the song. This is our way of protesting and creating an awareness,” says Supratik.

Avik adds, “The song is part of an album called ‘Music for Change’. Leading singers like Hariharan, KK, Zubeen Garg and Rabbi Shergill have already spoken about it and this can be seen on Youtube.

“We have tried to create a completely new sound for this album and are currently working on the videos,” they say.

Adds Rahul, “The video of ‘Come on Change’ will be shot in various locations across India. As of now, one can watch the teaser on our Facebook page.”

“We have had two rocking seasons of ‘Alive India In Concert’ at Phoenix MarketCity the last two years. We enjoyed collaborating with various musicians and are now working on the third season of this event. We are even looking at reaching out to other cities. We want to do more such collaborative projects in future,” adds Avik.
