Arnold Schwarze-negger, Hollywood actor and star of blockbuster film “The Terminator”, on Monday met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha at the state secretariat.

The 67-year-old actor, who was also the former governor of California, was in the city for the audio launch of a Tamil movie. He interacted with Jayalalitha for nearly 25 minutes and talked about the various challenges the government faces in Tamil Nadu.

“It was fantastic to sit down with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha before our event tonight (Monday night) and talk about her state’s success and challenges.

That’s the advantage of being an actor who was also a governor!” Schwarzenegger tweeted after the meeting.
He, however, did not talk to the large number of reporters waiting for him after the meeting, but posed for cameramen. Hundreds of government staff at the secretariat rushed to catch a glimpse of the Terminator star.

Shortly thereafter, Schwarzenegger left for the audio launch of director Shankar’s multi-crore movie “I”, which stars Vikram and Amy Jackson and features a score composed by Oscar winner A R Rahman.

The actor had expressed his desire to meet Jayalalitha, with his team having sent a letter to the chief minister’s office a few weeks ago.
