Kalyan Singh set to launch new party on birthday
Despite the newly appointed BJP president Nitin Gadkari’s overtures, former UP Chief Minister Kalyan Singh appears all set to launch his new political outfit on his B’day on January 5.
According to sources close to Singh here, his son Rajveer Singh alias Raju Bhaiya will lead the party. Singh himself will be its patron.
“A name has been selected and it has been sent to the Election Commission for the purpose of registration of the party,” sources revealed adding that the name was decided by Rajveer in consultation with his supporters in Aligarh recently.
Significatnly, the move to float a new outfit comes within days of the new BJP chief Nitin Gadkari’s statement indicating that he was not opposed to the return of leaders like Singh, Uma Bharti and Govindacharya.
Kalyan, however, reportedly is not keen on returning to the BJP as he is not sure of the saffron party’s future in UP. “Currently the BJP is at the fourth spot in UP and it is likley to be there in the near future,” a Kalyan aide said.
Sources claim that after announcing the name of his new political outfit Kalyan Singh may visit Ayodhya to have “darshan” of Ramlala.
