Facebook founder to come visiting

 Within weeks of Prime Minister writing on his Facebook page that the social networking site can be used to integrate people with governance, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is set to address Indian audience on ways to remove barriers to Internet adoption.

A miniscule 15 per cent of India’s 1.3 billion people use internet.

While in India during October 9 and 10, Zuckerberg will also meet the Prime Minister with whom he is expected to discuss ways to accelerate Internet connectivity in the country. Facebook already has 100 million users in India.

Zukerberg will address the first Internet.org summit taking place on October 9-10 in the city.. He is also expected to meet key ministers in Modi’s cabinet. Internet.Org aims to make internet access affordable for people across the globe.
