Everything about Harima, a Japanese restaurant, is welcoming — from the decor to the delicacies that they serve. Though located in a bustling street with different eateries, the place offers a quintessential ‘Japanese’ flavour due to its settings like dreamy lights, low tables and cushions, big windows and authentic cuisines.

With an extensive list, the place offers a number of dishes to choose from like Ika No Karaage, egg-wrapped chicken fried rice, sushi, sashimis and dimsums. Starters like Mushidori, Tsukemono and entrees like soup, salad rice and mashed potatoes are also a welcoming factor.

The highlight, however, is the Harima special platter which consists of an assortment of 25 sushis, with a mix of avocado roll, the California roll, red and black caviar, egg roll, the traditional vinegar rice combined with prawns, salmon, seaweed and other fish. The restaurant also offers a range of seafood, hence there is something in the place for all!

Their unique desserts, like the green tea icecream and pancake sandwich with vanilla ice cream, are a must try. It’s a place for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. Standard vegetarian dish includes Teriyaki Tofu and a bunch of vegetarian sushi rolls, with different fillings.

Chef Charles says that Harima organises corporate lunches too. “Though we cater to Japanese cuisine, we have a lot of Indian and foreign customers coming in to enjoy the specials.”  The restaurant is run by Japanese owners for a pleasant service and a quiet lunch, it is located at 401, 4th floor, 131, Residency Road, Ashok Nagar. It is open from 12 pm to 2. 30 pm and 6 to 10. 30 pm.
