The CMR Group of Institutions have a distinct style to all their celebrations. The institution recently celebrated its founder’s day and the management left no stone unturned to acknowledge everybody who helped build the institution, including the teaching, non-teaching staff and students.

The CMR Seva Puraskara award, which recognises people who have made exceptional contribution through their work to society, was given to Chitra Doraiswami who has over years of experience in the teaching line. Scholarships and leadership awards were given to students from the different CMR Institutions. Most students confessed that such awards are encouraging and do well to bring out the leadership qualities in them.

Shashank Ganesh, student of final year in BE Computer Science at CMR Institute of Technology won the leadership award. He said, “I think recognising the service and dedication of students outside the academic front, will certainly encourage them to come out of their bubble and make positive contributions to the community and in the long run, to the society as well.”

Radhika S, second year pre-university student of CMR National PU College who also bagged the leadership award said, “Receiving the award is probably the best experience I’ve had thus far. It felt nice to know that my teachers and principal believe that I am capable of it. It’s given me a lot of confidence to chase my dreams and aspirations.” According to Pranati Sahni, student of CMR Institute of Management, awards are indeed motivating. “Awards remind me to stay focussed on what I want to do. They act as a driving force and motivate me achieve perfection in everything I do,” said Pranati.
