JOIN USOrganisers of the “Kiss of Love” campaign have said they have not yet received any written communication from the police about the denial of permission for the event which is scheduled for November 30 here.
In a Facebook update on their official “Kiss of Love Bangalore” page, the organisers posted: “We met Additional Commissioner of Police, Bangalore. We haven’t got an official letter of denial which would formally state reasons for refusing us the permission to protest.”
The organisers contradicted media reports of a police official’s version that they had not submitted proper details in their initial request letter. They said all details, including the date, time and venue had been given to the police.
However, the organisers are not sure whether the event will take place.
Vijayan Kallil, media coordinator for Kiss of Love, Bangalore, told Deccan Herald, “We will keep you updated about whether it will take place or not.”
The organisers have stated on their official page that they refuse to change the name of the movement.
