St Andrews Church flagged off its sesquicentennial year celebrations on Saturday with Thanksgiving and Dedication Services. Plans are also afoot to build a new Church, to mark its 150th year.

Several concerts and inter-church programmes have been planned for a whole year to mark the occasion. The church, named after Scotland’s patron saint St Andrew, turned 150 on November 20, 2014.

It is now a bilingual church with services offered in both Kannada and English.
