Agnee, the rock band from Pune and Mumbai, performed to a huge crowd at Phoenix MarketCity recently as part of the ‘Alive India in Concert Season 3’. The mesmerising vocals of K Mohan and the melodious riffs and wails of the guitar of the lead guitarist Koco left the audience in awe of their sheer talent.

Before the band took the stage, the winners of the dance competition held as part of the programme, set the stage on fire with their performance.

The boys from Seshadripuram Pre-University College amazed the audience with their perfectly co-ordinated dance moves. Post this, the members of the audience danced on stage on the request of MC Uggi. The volunteers, who danced on stage, were all excited to get the opportunity  to meet ‘Agnee’ post the show. Soon, all the aspiring singers in the crowd had the opportunity to showcase their talent by singing their favourite song of ‘Agnee’ or Arijit Singh.

‘Agnee’ then hit the stage and started out strong with simple drum beats to entertain the crowd. Mohan and Koco started the show with ‘Manmaani’. They then mellowed the pace down with their dark and slow hit ‘Yaariyan’.

The classically infused vocals of Mohan reverberated through the crowd and their next track ‘Kabira’ which heavily reflected the Hindi origins of the band. ‘Agnee’ even played the song ‘Hello Andhero’ which they had made for the Indian promotion of ‘The Avengers’.
The band later went on to perform hits like ‘Sadho Re’, ‘Naav’, ‘Shaam Tanha’, the ‘MTV Roadies’ theme song and ‘Raanjhan Yaar Di’, which is more popular as the theme song of ‘MTV Splitsvilla Season 3’.

The musicians next performed ‘Aahatein’, one of their most popular tracks which was used in ‘Splitsvilla Season 4’. Music-lovers totally enjoyed Koco's furious fingers on the guitars and the soothing yet powerful vocals of K Mohan. They also kept interacting with the crowd throughout the show.

The ‘Alive India in Concert’ series will also be featuring artistes like Javed Ali, Usha Uthup and Kunal Ganjalwala.
