Saris’ have always been in trend and they are considered to be the most elegant and traditional Indian clothing for women.

Along with being a symbol of tradition, they are noted for their style and sensuality. Quirky ‘saris’ have emerged as a dominant trend this season and they have much appeal to young women who are influenced by Bollywood movies.

Although popular, women hesitate to drape a ‘sari’ because of the tedious process involved.

Draping a ‘sari’ is not just wrapping a fabric around oneself; it is an art that needs patience and hard work. But this long struggle and hard work can be a thing of the past with the emergence of what is called an ‘insta sari’.

‘Sakhi’, a designer boutique, has emerged with the concept of an ‘insta sari’ that can be worn under a minute.

Be it for a wedding, a festive celebration or a kitty party, now one can wear a ‘sari’ in a matter of seconds and still look glamorous and elegant.

The mother-daughter duo, Chandra and Neeta have experimented and created this ‘insta sari’ which is a one-piece constructed unit with a blouse attached.

The designer wear ‘saris’ have been made in standard sizes and can be custom made for particular measurements as well. The collection is crafted using fine quality material like lycra blended silk, french lace and flowing net contrasted by brocades.

“This is a one-stop solution for all the young women who lament about how scared they are to drape the six yards. It is just perfect for the numerous roles that the modern Indian women adorns,” says Neeta, designer and co-founder of ‘Sakhi’.

The collection of ‘insta saris’ are available in all colours and are priced between Rs 9,000 and Rs 18,500.

So, put an end to the draping...zip up your ‘saris’ and you are ready in a jiffy.
