The last month of the year calls for celebrations and parties. So let your hair down in style, literally.

Here are tips from Daniele Bauer, official hairstylist of TRESemmé:

Sleek updo: The hassle-free hairdo is a party favourite as it can be done by women with different types of hair. Apply ample amount of gel or wax on hair, and then create a side parting.

Pull your hair into a mid-level ponytail, and smoothen it with gel. Twist the ponytail into a bun and wrap it tightly around the base of ponytail. And there you have your sleek updo.

Side bun: It adds a little bit of edge to the classic bun. To get the look, gather your hair onto one side of the head and pull it into a ponytail.

Comb the hair back as this adds more volume. Twist the ponytail all the way down to the tips and wrap the twisted section aroun

Bouffant ponytail: It looks like the bouffant, but it lets you show off a little more length with the ponytail. Split your hair into three sections - front, middle and back.
Tie the back section into a rough ponytail.

Pull the middle section into a bun and secure it with a couple of bobby pins. Add hairspray for extra hold. Unfasten the rough ponytail and comb back the front section of your hair over the bun. Secure it into a neat ponytail.
