JOIN USThree union ministers - M Venkaiah Naidu, Ananth Kumar and D V Sadananda Gowda - took the brooms and cleaned Avenue Road as part of the good governance day initiative organised by the City BJP on the occasion of the 90th birthday celebrations of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Naidu and Ananth Kumar said the Swaccha Bharat Abhiyana initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi had become a people’s movement. “It is time that the State government takes note of the initiative and participate,” Kumar said.
At Freedom Park, the BJP Yuva Morcha held a cleanliness drive and also took out a “Good Governance run” to the nearby Shikshakara Sadana near Mysuru Bank Circle. Former minister R Ashoka and V Sommana, among others, participated.
