RSS workers take out march

 As many as 700 workers in the age group of 18-60 marched on the main roads of the Kolar in their traditional uniform.

The march began from a school ground in Kataripalya at around 4 pm where all them had gathered for a brief meeting. The workers through out their march raised Vande Mataram and Bharat mata ki jai slogans. Women greeted the workers by watering the road in front of their house and through rangolis. Some of the passionate fans garlanded workers. A van carrying traditional ‘Bhagavadwaj’ (Saffron flag) and portrait of Bharatamata was also seen in the march.

The workers marched through Sharada Talkies road, Brahmanara Beedi, Kilaripet road, M G Chowk, Doddapet road, Kurubarapet, Guaripet, the road opposite Dharmarayaswamy Temple and again culminated at School ground in Kataripalya.

A tight police security was provided by the police in the City as swayamsevakas from Chikkaballapur, Kolar, Bangalore rural and surrounding areas had arrived for the march.

Valedictory function

Valedictory of sports meet for police will be conducted on January 5. Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer G V Rangarao will receive the guard of honour and distribute the prizes. 100 mt, 400 mt Bandmens race, tug of war, walking race, slow water race will be conducted.
