Google Capital invests in CommonFloor

Online real estate portal CommonFloor.com on Thursday announced that it has received fresh funding from Google Capital for an undisclosed sum.

The funding is aimed at helping the company grow in product development, and marketing.a

According to CommonFloor.com co-founder and CEO Sumit Jain, “The funding will further fuel our vision to empower people to realise their property dreams. The money raised will be strategically invested in making the platform more robust to enable the buyers and sellers to find their match faster.”

The company, which began operations in 2007, has already raised around $50 million from Accel Partners and Tiger Global. CommonFloor.com allows people in India to research, buy, sell, and rent real estate on its platform. It has over one lakh residential projects across 200 cities listed on its platform, which has already mapped 10 million homes and has plans to map every property in India.
