As many as 11 cadets from Jayanagar National College met the people and spoke on the need to adopt rainwater harvesting, conservation of environment and protection of historical monuments.
Cadet Anil Kumar said that through cycle jatha, they want to spread the thought of conserving energy too. “The jatha also aims at bringing in unity and integrity and the need for the youth to take part in nation building,” said Girish, a participant.
The jatha proceeded from Madikeri to Mysore via Koppa. The rally had commenced in Bangalore on December 30 and it covered Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Shravanabelagula, Hassan, Belur, Halebeed, Shirangala over 11 days. The rally will culminate on January 9 in Bangalore.
