Encounter between security forces, LeT terrorists in JK

A joint operation from Indian army and police is underway in Chakan area in Sopore, Jammu and Kashmir, where security forces are battling suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists.

The security officials began the operation based on the intelligence inputs that two terrorists are holed up in Chakan area, according to a Zee News report.

Firing broke out between security forces and terrorists in the wee hours of Wednesday. The security personnel have cordoned off the locality and carrying out searches at some houses for suspected LeT terrorists, including their commander Abu Huzaifa, according to TV reports.
