Last Updated 21 January 2015, 21:19 IST
Congress leaders V S Ugrappa and H M Revanna, on Wednesday, accused the Union government of trying to cripple the State administration by rejecting its recommendation to appoint retired Karnataka High Court judge H N Nagamohan Das as Karnataka Administrative Tribunal (KAT) chairman.

Addressing reporters, Ugrappa said the Centre has taken the decision to reject the recommendation of the State in this regard after a delay of six months.

“It is clear that the intention was to cripple the administration,” he added.
He dared former chief ministers of the BJP and the JD(S) to face a probe by a retired Supreme Court judge on how their wealth shot up after they became chief minister.
