Dressed in a beautiful red bridal wear designed by Ramesh Dembla, actress Urvashi Rautela rocked the stage at the ‘Fashion Week’ held recently. “The designs of Ramesh are so elegant that I don’t mind getting married now even though I am 20,” says Urvashi jokingly.  Crowned by Shilpa Shetty as ‘Miss Universe India 2012’, she was excited to be a showstopper at the fashion week. The actress, who went gaga over Ramesh’s designs says, “It feels special to be a showstopper. I have done a lot of shows as I was a model. But it was a great honour walking on the ramps here in Bengaluru. Ramesh’s designs are perfect for destination weddings. His clothes speak for itself.”

A model-turned-actress, she made her Bollywood debut in Anil Sharma’s action-romance ‘Singh Saab the Great’. Her career reached a peak after her international music video album ‘LoveDose’ with Honey Singh. “The music video I have done with Honey Singh became the most watched video on YouTube. Bengaluru has been a lucky city to me. The first time I landed here, I got an offer for a film and I have signed my first Kannada film. It is called ‘Airavata’ and I will be starring opposite Darshan,” she explains. Talking about the shoot for her debut Kannada film, she says, “We have completed three schedules of the shoot. I am yet to go back. I will be in Mumbai as I am shooting for another Bollywood T-series film,” she says.

The actress, who is very excited about her Sandalwood debut says, “I am looking forward to completing the shoot and am eager for its release. It is an honour to be part of a great crew which includes the very talented actor Darshan and also the hit star director AP Arjun. He has helped me a lot as a director in my action sequences. This film is very special to me as this is my first film in the South,” she says. She adds that language has never been a barrier to her as an actress. “With star directors, you don’t usually face any barriers as they help us actors.” The lively actress, who is presently shooting for a Bollywood film, wraps up saying she would love to come back to Bengaluru and be part of more Sandalwood films.
