Anup knocks out Ajay
Anup Sridhar defeated top seed Ajay Jayaram 16-21, 21-12, 21-14 to set up a semifinal clash with P Kashyap in the 74th Senior National Badminton tournament here on Saturday.
Kashyap faced a stiff challenge from Sajal Chikla before wrapping up 11-21, 21-11, 21-12. Arvind Bhat takes on Chetan Anand in the other semifinal.
In the women’s section, top seed Sayali Gokhale of Maharashtra kept up her winning run to beat P Thulasi 21-18, 21-17 to make the last-four.
She will take on Gayatri Vartak, while Trupti Murgunde will play Aditya Mutatkar.
