Indian cricketers to be roped in for Dhoni's biopic

If scuttlebutts are to be believed, then we may soon see our team India cricketers acting on the silver screen. Well, grapevine has it that the Indian cricketers have been approached for playing cameo roles in the upcoming Mahendra Singh Dhoni's biopic.

According to a source close to the film, the upcoming film revolves round Mahendra Singh Dhoni's personal life and achievements as a cricketer.

Thus, in order to showcase Dhoni's achievements as a cricketer, the filmmaker needs cricketers who have played matches with him.

For the same, the filmmaker has approached some of the Indian as well as international cricketers, who have played with Dhoni, for making a special appearance in the film, revealed another source.

Revealing that cricketers have been approached for the biopic, a source, as quoted in Mid-Day said, "Many Team India cricketers as well as those who have played with him at various stages of his professional career have been approached for special appearances in the film."

However, the sources didn't reveal the names of the cricketers who have been approached for making a guest appearance in the biopic.

It is already known that actor Sushant Singh Rajput has been zeroed in for playing the character of captain cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

It has also been learnt that Dhoni himself has helped Sushant in perfecting his style and mannerism for the role.

Helmed by Neeraj Pandey, the film will go on floors soon and the shooting will be held in Delhi, Mumbai, Australia, New Zealand and few other countries including Dhoni's native.
