Just like one other festival, Navratri has become synonymous with food for those who are fasting. So after a long day at work if it is too much to cook for yourself, try one of these thalis that can be relished by the whole family.

Traditional platter

Since the use of Lahori salt is crucial in the food preparation during these nine days, Fifty 9 at Radisson Blu Marina in Connaught Place ensures the same. They are offering Vrat kePakore and Dahi Ke Kebab as starter; Aloo Makhana, Pethe ki Sabzi, Palak Paneer, Samak ke Chawal and Kuttu ki Poori in main course; and Sabudane ki Kheer and Phalon ki Chaat in dessert. All these served with condiments shall make for a perfect Vrat Thali.

Quite appetising

If looking for a five-star experience, try the Kitchen District at Hyatt Regency, Gurgaon. The Navratra Thali here brings the best of delectable offerings such as Shakarkandi ki Chaat, Phaldari Kebab, Paneer Kali Mirch Tikka, Aloo jeera, Sabudana ki Khichdi, Paneer Makhni, Kuttu ki Poori, Sabudana Kheer and seasonal fruits.

Lavish treat

If you are looking for variety then try the elaborate buffet at Indian Grill Company, CP. The lavish spread at this eatery has few must haves, such as Khoya Khumani Tikki, Kaju Kela Tikki, Zimikand Kebab, Palak Pakora, Sitaphal ki Sabzi, Moongphali Aloo Sabzi, Kesri Dahi Arbi and Kajoo Makhana Sabzi among other regular fare.

Wholesome meal

Its special menu includes a lot of options from lip-smacking Tamatri Lauki and Aloo jeera to finger-licking Paneer Makhana aur Kaju ka Sangam served with Samak ke Chawal and Kuttu aur Singare ki Poori.

These can be relished with sides like Sabudana Papad, Aloo Papad, Pudine ki chutney and Dahi ki chutney. To complete the fasting platter Sabudane ki kheer, fresh fruits, ice cream and Cholai ke Ladoo act as desserts.

Dishes with a twist

The Navratra Special Thali becomes special at Café Delhi Heights for the manner in which the dishes are presented! The place offers the drink Citrus Delight (combination of freshly squeezed oranges and lime with brown sugar) as a perfect start to the one meal that is taken in 24 hours.

Coupled with Saboodana Khichdi and Kutu ki Roti comes Courtesy By Cottage Cheese - Preparation of paneer in thick gravy of cream, tomatoes and spices. To add to this is Pina Raita (a blend of pineapple chunks and creamy yogurt) and Phalahari Kheer that tastes as good as homemade food!

Price matters

Served in an exotic style, the delights at Sattviko go by the name of the place. Its menu has seen an addition of Dahi Aloo Chat and special barfis for the nine days of Navratri. Various options in takeaway packages will allow snacking anywhere.
