Pooja likes masala

Megha Shenoy

If trying something new was Pooja Gandhi’s mantra in 2009, it’s acting in classic masala films in 2010.

With movies like Anu, Inniya, Gokula, I am, Huchchi and others, Pooja wanted to experiment and expand her talent as an actress. But many of these films failed at the box-office but that hasn’t disappointed Pooja. “I have no regrets being part of these projects. I am happy with all the films as they showed different shades of me,” she says.

However, this year Pooja has not “officially” signed anything as yet. She is looking forward to doing some masala and commercial films. “I want to do all kinds of movies and this time around I want to concentrate on more fun and light films that are commercial in nature,” says Pooja. But that does not mean she will take any film that comes her way. “The script still matters to me. I will be selective and hopefully the year will go better than the last one,” she signs off.
