<p>The Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) is all set to start air services in Karnataka, to keep up pace with Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Goa. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Arvind Jadhav, additional chief secretary, tourism, said air services had also been given way in the budget. KSTDC will also appoint a transaction advisor for the same.<br /><br />“So far, we have received proposals from Supreme Aviation and UTA- helicopter service providers. Jakkur Aerodrome has also placed a proposal to run a four-seater aircraft. But we have asked for some more details on their business model,” he told reporters on the sidelines of the launch of the tourism rating facility on Friday. <br /><br />There are many people who give Karnataka a miss because of lack of air services. Kerala and Tamil Nadu have four international airports. They are all well-connected by air. Goa had started their services from chartered flights. <br /><br />“Presently, we want to start services in Mysuru and Hampi because air strips are ready. Later, depending on the demand provision of air strips, trips can be developed,” Jadhav said. <br /></p>
