Anushka to attend screening of NH10 in Beijing Film festival

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma will attend the screening of her movie NH10 here in the 5th Beijing International Film Festival to be held from April 17-20.

Anushka will be in Beijing on April 19 when NH10 will be screened at the festival, the Indian Embassy said in a statement.

M S Prakash Babu's award-winning debut movie Fig Fruit and the Wasps will also be screened.

NH10, a 2015 crime thriller, is directed by Navdeep Singh and stars Anushka and Neil Bhoopalam in lead roles.

Austrian-born US actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will also attend and address the festival.

The eight-day festival to be held at Yanqi Lake on the outskirts of Beijing, where the APEC meetings were held last year, has attracted 930 movies from 90 countries and regions to compete for its Tiantan Awards.

French director Luc Besson will chair the awards jury, which also includes American writer-producer Robert Mark Kamen, South Korean auteur Kim Ki-duk, Brazilian director Fernando Meirelles, Russia's Fyodor Bondarchuk, Peter Chan from Hong Hong and Chinese actress Zhou Xun.

Jean-Jacques Annaud, who directed recent China-France hit "Wolf Totem," is also expected to attend the festival.

The 10 Tiantan Awards include awards for best feature film, best director, best actor, best actress and best music.
