JOIN USThe ‘77th Ramanavami Music Festival 2015’, organised by the non-profit group, Sree Ramaseva Mandali will be on till April 27, at the Old Fort High School Grounds, Chamarajapet. The extravaganza is a treat for Carnatic music lovers as over 300 artistes will come together at this iconic festival.
n On April 16, Prajwal Sharma N and Abhay Kulkarni and party will be performing, from 5.15 pm to 6.15 pm. A concert by Neyveli Santhanagopalan, Delhi P Sunderrajan, SV Ramani and Dr Karthick will be held from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
n On April 17, Pavan Rangachar and party will be performing from 5.15 pm to 6.15 pm. A Carnatic and Hindustani jugalbandi will take place from 6.30 pm to 930 pm by Pandit Pravin Godkhindi on the ‘bansuri’ and Anil Srinivasan on the piano. The accompanists are Ravindra Yavagal and B Shree Sundarkumar.
n On April 18, from 5.15 pm to 6.15 pm, Pavani Kashinath and party will perform. A concert by violinist Dr Mysore Manjunath and sarod player, Pandit Brij Narayan will be held from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm. They will be accompanied by Tiruvarur Bhakthavatsalam and Ravindra Yavagal.
n On April 19, an award function, ‘Rama Gana Kalacharya Awards 2015’, will be held. The award will be presented to Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhat at 5.30 pm. On the same day, a Carnatic and Hindustani jugalbandhi will be held from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm. The artistes are Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and Ganesh Rajagopalan along with Patri Satish Kumar, Pandit Ram Kumar Mishra and Giridhar Udupa.
n On April 20, from 5 pm to 7 pm, Vaikom Vijayalakshmi, Ranjani Venkatesh and Krishna Prasad will be presenting a few Carnatic melodies. A Carnatic concert by Bangalore Brothers, MB Hariharan and S Ashok, accompanied by Mathur Srinidhi, TR Sundaresan and B Rajashekar, will be held from 7.15 pm to 9.30 pm.
n On April 17, from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm, Rakshita Ramesh and party will be performing.
n On April 21, from 6.30 pm to 9. 30pm, a concert by Mysore Nagaraj and Dr. Mysore Manjunath will be held.
