Setting an example for many, acid attack victim Sonali Mukherjee from Jharkhand left behind all her sorrows and started her life afresh by tying the knot with beau Chittaranjan Tewary on Wednesday, April 15.
An electrical engineer from Jamshedpur, groom Chittaranjan Tewary works at the Busan steel plant in Orissa.
Chittaranjan saw Sonali on a news programme post the acid attack on her and got in touch with her via social media.
He even helped Sonali with funds for her treatment.
After being in touch for a couple of months, he proposed marriage to Sonali and today they are happily married.
Sonali Mukherjee had suffered from 70 percent burn injuries when a group of people threw acid on her on April 22, 2003.
