Pollard shuts his mouth, and literally!

When you post 209 runs on the board, there is definitely time for some fun. Mumbai Indians’ Kieron Pollard, always an entertainer no matter what the situation is, set the M Chinnaswamy Stadium and the social media alight with a never-before-seen comical gesture.

Pollard kept going at Chris Gayle, opening for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, from the time his close friend set foot on the pitch. Constantly throwing some friendly banter, Pollard made sure Gayle appeared distracted and doesn’t pull off the trigger that could have made life difficult for the visitors.

While Gayle had no problem with the verbal warfare that is routine between them, on-field umpires seemed to have had enough and they asked Pollard to keep his mouth shut.

What’s the best way to show you’ve followed the order – plaster your mouth. Yes that’s exactly what Pollard did after the end of the third over. He went to the dug out, put a cello tape around his mouth and returned to take the field as the social media went abuzz with laughter.

The fun lasted for an over though as Pollard removed the tape after the end of it. It, however, created an image that will last for sometime.
