Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan will continue the tradition of connecting Wacken, the Mecca of Metal with Bengaluru, India’s metal capital by presenting ‘Inner Sanctum’. The  band will launch their debut album, produced by German Lasse Lammert, on April 26 at 6 pm at CounterCulture, Whitefield.

‘Inner Sanctum’ is a multi-award-winning death metal band from Bengaluru. Formed in the latter part of 2006, the band was quick to take over the Indian metal scene with their aggressive, groove heavy adaptation of modern death metal.

Since then, they have been tearing it up on every stage in the country, and having opened for ‘Metallica’ and ‘Slayer’, are now fittingly regarded as the vanguard of metal in the country.

The head-banger of the evening, will be ‘Demonic Resurrection’ and ‘Plague Throat’, winners at the Goethe-supported ‘WOA Metal Battle India’, who performed at Wacken.
Since its inception, ‘Inner Sanctum’ has garnered respect for being one of the most explosive live acts to come out of India’s burgeoning metal scene. The band has gotten rave reviews in the press, with Metalhammer UK naming them one of the ‘Top 10 Bands to Watch Out for from India’.

   ‘Inner Sanctum’ has also
supported ‘Testament’, ‘Amon marth’, ‘Cradle of Filth’, ‘Enslaved’ and ‘Textures’ on their Indian tours.
