Religious leaders should serve society, says Governor H R Bhardwaj
Religious leaders should not take political mileage in the name of religion. They must restrict themselves to serve for welfare of the humanity, said Governor H R Bhardwaj.
Speaking at the World Peace conference organised by the Oswal Parishad on here Sunday, the Governor said that religious leaders must come together and work towards protecting cows.
He said that while people have been speaking against animal sacrifice from Nehru’s period, laws are yet to be enforced strictly. The Governor said that Jain Community is the sole religion to preach the ahimsa towards animals.
