Jessica Lal killer Manu Sharma marries Mumbai woman

Jessica Lal's killer Manu Sharma alias Siddharth Vashisht tied the knot with a Mumbai-based woman on Wednesday, April 22, according to a report in The Indian Express.

Manu Sharma, who is serving life term imprisonment in the Jessica Lal murder case, was out on furlough when he walked down the aisle at his residence.

Only close relatives from both the groom and bride's side were invited for the wedding.
Sharma was granted furlough for his good conduct, an official from Tihar Jail told The Indian Express.

37-year-old Manu, son of former Indian National Congress minister Venod Sharma, is presently serving life term imprisonment in Tihar Jail for murdering model Jessica Lal in 1999.

The convict, a regular party goer, had asked Jessica for a drink at the bar. When Jessica refused him the drink, he shot her dead.
