JOIN USIt was a time of merriment when HKBK Degree College celebrated its 16th annual college day, ‘Protius - 2015’, at Dr BR Ambedkar Bhavan recently. Dr KK Seethamma, registrar of Bangalore University, was the chief guest. CM Faiz Mohammed, director of HKBK Group of Institutions, Manzoor Ahmed Khan, the secretary, Dr Sevithaya C, principal of HKBK Degree College, Dr TC Manjunath, principal of HKBK College of Engineering and K Rasheed, principal of MI Pre-University College were also present on the occasion.
Apart from this, Shazia Anjum, HOD of the commerce and management department at HKBK Degree College was nominated for the ‘Best Staff of The Year’ award and a prize of Rs 10,000, a shawl and a trophy were bestowed upon her. Her fellow faculty members were appreciative of her efforts.
Students of institution, who were meritorious in the academic results, sports and cultural, were felicitated with a trophy and certificate by the HKBK Group of Institutions. The students of the college participated in many events such as drama, mock-rock, mad-acts, solo and group dances, solo and group singing and a fashion show. They did not let the opportunity to slip away and displayed their hidden talents by participating in the several cultural activities and won accolades from the dignitaries and audience for their splendid performance.
Prizes were distributed to the best performer among them.
