Geetha Abhiyan on January 28

Kodagu district-level Bhagavath Geetha Abhiyan programme will be held on January 28 at 2 pm at Brahmana Vidyabhivridhi Nidhi premises, as a part of the Bhagavath Geeth Abhiyan started by Shirasi Sonda Swarnavalli Mahasmasthana, Uttar Kannada.

 
Addressing a news conference on Saturday, Abhiyan Pramukh G T Raghavendra and K S Devaiah said that the programme will be led by Shirasi Sonda Swarnavalli Mahasmasthana Seer Gangadharendra Saraswathi Swamiji and Arameri Kalancheri Mutt Seer Shanthamallikarjuna Swamiji, Ponnampete Sri Ramakrishna Sharadashrama Seer Jagadathmananda Maharaj and others will be present.

Virajpet Cauvery Ashram Seer Vivekananda Sharana Swamiji, Cherambane Madhavananda Swamiji, Talacauvery Anandatheertha, Assembly Speaker K G Bopaiah, MLA M P Appachu Ranjan, Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan Kodagu unit President K P Uthappa, Sonda Swarnavalli Mahasamsthana Vice-President Shantharam Hegade and others will be the chief guests.

K S Devaiah said that Sonda Swarnavalli Mahasamsthan aims at preaching 14th chapter to Bhagavath Geetha to all compulsorily and it also opines that study of all epics like Quran, Bible, Geetha, irrespective of religion will ultimately lead to peace and happiness in lives of all. Chi Na Somesh and K K Rajkumar were present at the press meet.
