Embroiled in a controversy over a Rs 206-crore anganwadi procurement scam, trouble seems to mounting for Women and Child Development Minister Pankaja Munde who arrived here from London on Monday.

A PIL was filed in the Bombay High Court and another set of documents relevant to the scam was submitted by Maharashtra Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

‘Will expose them’

“I will thrash this conspiracy,” the 35-year-old daughter of late BJP leader Gopinath Munde told a battery of supporters at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport here.

“I will expose them,” said Pankaja even as her supporters raised slogans against her cousin, Dhananjay Munde, the Leader of the Opposition in the Council.

On Wednesday, she is expected to make a detailed statement on the issue. “I am not going to resign and I have not done anything wrong,” she had said from London last week.

Pankaja, also the rural development minister, was holidaying in London, when allegations of clearing contract worth Rs 206 crore for purchase of a host of items like energy-rich chikkis, medicines, mats, workbooks and water filters, under the Integrated Child Development Scheme surfaced.

Sawant, who had filed a complaint with the ACB, submitted another set of documents running into 1,000 pages to the ACB. “We are sure that the chief minister is not going to do anything...we have submitted the documents to the ACB...if they do not anything, we will hit the streets,” Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil told reporters.
