After Friday’s win, RWF sit at the helm of the points table with 15 points from five games and a vastly superior goal difference which gives them the edge over Central Excise who have equal number of points.
The two teams will lock horns in Saturday’s fixture and even though they have gained promotion to the second phase, pride will be at stake and both teams will look to end the first phase on a high.
In Friday’s game, RWF exuded confidence, as they were coming on the back of a 11-2 thrashing of KSHA and the Ravi Kumar led side picked up from where they had left off.
Deepak Bijawad opened the scoring in the seventh minute with Postal still finding their feet. The next strike came in the 23rd minute as Jayaraj struck home and Sushil Xalko (29th) ensured that his team went in to the break with a three-goal cushion.
The game was put to rest in 11 second-half minutes with Arun Ravi kick-starting the party in the 38th. Jayaraj netted his second in the 40th minute while Umesh (44th) and Kusha (47th) piled on the misery on Postal, who are in third place in the standings and have qualified for the second phase. Jayaraj’s completed the tally in the 49th minute.
SBM Jain University cemented fourth spot by beating Ideal Sports 1-0. Raja P scored the only goal in the 55th minute.
