JOIN USActor-turned-politician Hema Malini was discharged from Fortis hospital on Saturday morning, a day after she met with an accident on the Jaipur-Agra highway.
Hema along with her daughter Esha Deol left for Mumbai in a charter plane from Sawai Man Singh Airport in Jaipur.
“Hema Malini was discharged from the hospital on Saturday morning. She was discharged on the request of her relatives. All the discharge formalities were completed on Friday night,” said Priyanka, spokesperson of Fortis hospital.
In order to avoid mediapersons, Hema preferred to leave from the back gate of the hospital. Instead of taking a car, she was taken to airport in the hospital ambulance and all family members accompanied her.
Meanwhile, troubles are not over for Hanuman Khandelwal Mahajan and his family members who were severely injured when their car was hit by the speeding Mercedes car in which Hema was traveling. Hanuman’s wife Shikha Khandelwal, who is seriously injured, is still unaware that she has lost her four-year-old daughter Sonam in the car accident.
“Shikha is partially conscious and asking for her daughter. Even after three days none of the family members could gather the courage to inform the mother that she has lost her daughter,” said Rajiv Gupta, brother of Hanuman. Family members informed that on the day of the accident Hanuman and his family had gone to Jaipur to purchase several items from the market.
Shikha has been told that both her kids are safe and undergoing treatment in different. The family members have said that soon after the accident they were left to suffer on the highway while the actor got VIP treatment. They said that had timely treatment been given, their daughter might have survived.
