Amit Shah misquoted, Opp attack

With Amit Shah’s remark about “ache din”sparking a row, the BJP on Tuesday deputed a Union minister to deny that the party chief made such a comment.

Though Shah spoke before a closed door meeting of party leaders in Bhopal on Monday, the BJP played a recording of his speech to insist that a “twisted statement was attributed to our president in a section of media”.

Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal said “we saw a twisted statement attributed to our president in a section of media...Some newspapers think that anything can be carried. It was a closed-door meeting but since he has been misquoted, we are playing the recording.”
