The varied concepts of fashion came out in flying colours on day three of ‘DF Silverline Bangalore Fashion Week 13th edition’, powered by Snapdeal. Versatile designers from across the country displayed unusual collections much to the excitement of the spectators.

The day started with collections from Dream Zone Fashion School which celebrated people and places that inspired budding designers.  Next was Anvita Thakkar’s collection labelled ‘Wow 18’. The collection majorly focussed on being a trendsetter for youth fashion with a vast range of fabrics, quality craftsmanship and refined tailoring that eventually results into a role model for fashion.

Radhika and Sudarshan showcased designs with scattered petals coming out of peculiar flowers, petals transforming into flowers and abstract-flowers scribble art. The collection merged watercolour brush stroke prints and abstract scribble art with pot painting from West Bengal. It had incorporated flattering minimal drapes, layering and cuts on natural fabrics with great falls such as silks, crepes and georgettes.

The collection by Sony Reddy was  based on pearl work. Hyderabad is well-known for its pearls and has been called a ‘city of pearls’. The designers, belonging to Hyderabad, represented the glory of pearl combination with ‘zardosi’, anchor work, ‘jarkan’, ‘kundan’, ‘gota patti’ and ‘nakshi’. The fabrics used were net, rawsilk, crepe, tussar and georgette. Lakshmi Manchu, a well-known Indian film actress, walked the ramp and made heads turn as she glided in a yellow and orange outfit.

Ashok Maanay’s collection showcased the theme ‘The Regalia’ dedicated to his highness Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wodeyar. The vibrant hues rendered in the collection of Indian wear embraced the opulent culture and heritage of yore. The peerless Kriti Kharbanda walked in in a red sari that showed off the flavour of embellishment and artistry, comprising the Indian culture.

Ramesh Dembla, a regular at the fashion show, showcased a stygian and a urban collection with a unique concept of elegance. Actress Priyanka Upendra graced the ramp for him, in his new ‘Obscure’ collection. The show ended with Monapali, as they wove the world of illusion to create their collection at the fashion week. The great textural tale is of the essence as Monapali mixed diffused prints with textured fabrics.
