Two-day conference on higher education

Mount Carmel College will host a two-day international conference, “A Vision for Higher Education – 2030” on July 30 and 31.

The conference aims to address issues pertaining to the state of higher education in India 15 years from now. Bangalore University Vice-Chancellor Prof B Thimme Gowda, Director of Griffith University (Australia) Dr Jeremy Williams and Vice-Chancellor of Christ University Dr Fr Thomas C Mathew will be among those who will share their thoughts on the topic. According to Mount Carmel College Principal Dr Sr Arpana, through this conference they hope to find ways to democratise the access to higher learning that would help in bridging the gap between education and employability.
